Question 1.
Which are the important issues that have hampered our glory?
Answer.
We are facing some basic issues. These days noise pollution has come a big problem for all of us. When we travel by bus or train, we do not cooperate with other passengers. We smoke and throw leftovers carelessly here and there While driving on the road, we have do not observe traffic rules. Our disobedience can create problems for the sensitive people. Now encroachment has become a means of showing our muscle power. It is also a very big problem for the country. We do not show the sense of cleanliness. We litter even the places of God. In fact our ignorance of cleanliness has become a big issue for us. Besides, our way of demonstrating our protest is also unbearable for the common people. It creates inconvenience for them. Unless these issues are solved, our country may not progress in the real sense.

Question 2.
How does noise pollution affect our life?
Answer.
Human ear can receive the sound of normal rage. The sound received beyond the fixed limit may be jarring and cause damage to our hearing sense organs. The heavy vehicles make our unbearding. The truck drivers blow horns without purpose and constantly. It may create problems for the heart patients. Our neighbors may be serious students or sick persons. Playing the tape recorder and any other instrument may disturbed them. Students may get disturbance in their concentration.

Question 3.
How can you keep public places clean?
Answer.
We must develop the sense of cleanliness. We must remember that cleanliness is next to Godliness. We should not throw rubbish and waste material at the public places like the roads, educational institutions, historical monuments and government buildings. In the absence of proper knowledge we even letter the holy places of worship like the temples. We should always be careful to the dirt which we throw here and there. Instead we should throw away rubbish and waste material at the proper places made for this purpose only.

Question 4.
Why has the movement on roads become dangerous?
Answer.
These days the violation of traffic rules and driving rashly has become a fashion. The movements on roads being fearful and unsafe are dangerous to the nervous system of several sensitive human beings. It seems that there is no control over vehicles on the roads. The smoke coming out of the vehicles makes our environments unfit for our lives. The overloaded vehicles playing on the roads may cause accidents at any movements. The innocent people never find themselves safe on the roads.

Question 5.
What measures can we take to make clean our surroundings?
Answer.
For a healthy life we certainly need clean environment. But we throw rubbish and waste material wherever we like. We do not hesitate to think about the clean environment of public places even. Our roads, historical places, educational institutions and government buildings are littered by rubbish and waste materials thrown by us. It seems that we have become immune to these harmful acts. We must know that cleanliness is very important for our life. The government should make strict laws to deal with the offenders. If somebody is found polluting the public places, immediate action should be taken against him

Question 6.
According to the writer how can we express our protests without causing any difficulties to others?
Answer.
The writer thinks that we should demonstrate our protest without causing any difficulty to others. Satyagraha or hunger strike is the greatest weapon given by Mahatma Gandhijee, the father of our nation. Satyagraha or hunger strike is nonviolent in nature. It never causes difficulty for others. It is the best method to show our protests because only the protesters suffer here. No harm or damage is caused to the person against whom it is adopted. Gandhijee made our country free with help of this powerful weapon.

Question 7.
Which is superior between the muscle power and the brain power and why?
Answer.
People say that pen is mightier than sword. But the fact is different. these days the muscle power is superior to the brain power. Actually the people with muscle power are uncivilized. They have no sense of charity. They think everything is made for them only. They use public property as their own. In the beginning they make a small start and gradually they grab the entire thing. They even snatch away the rights of civilized and law-abiding people. They think that nobody can throw challenge to them or thwart their design.

Question 8.
How do the workers of a shoe factory in Japan demonstrate their protest?
Answer.
The writer has cited a very good example from Japan. In that country when the workers of a shoe factory want to show their protest, they make shoes of different sizes of right foot only. This is the novel idea of demonstrating our protest. They wait for settlement of their issues. When their issues are settled , they make shoes of left foot. In this way the workers complete the pairs and compensate the initial loss suffered by the owner.

Question 9.
How do we lack in our social behavior and cultivation of civic sense?
Answer.
We throw rubbish and waste material at public places. We litter the historical places and government buildings even. We play tape recorders at high pitch without care of the students and heart patients. In the buses and trains we never willingly offer the vacant seats to our neighbors. We often try show our muscle power to snatch away the rights of civilized and law-abiding persons. On the roads we violate the traffic rules and create problems for others. Question 1.
Write a paragraph on importance of cleanliness in about 75 words.
Answer.
Importance of Cleanliness problem.
Cleanliness is a deep concept. Since the germ theory of disease, it has come to mean an effort to remove germs and other hazardous materials. A reaction to an excessive desire for a germ-free environment began to occur around 1989. In this year David Strachan put forth the “hygiene hypothesis”in the British Medical Journal. In essence, this hypothesis holds that dirt plays a useful role in developing the immune system; the fewer germs people are exposed to in childhood, the more likely they are to get when they grow-up. So we should keep our environment near clean to keep a healthy body and mind.

The sound produced by us certainly creates problems for them. But they never want to quarrel with us and silently bear our torture. As a result, they generally shut doors and windows to avoid the jarring sound. Sometimes they even put cotton in their ears.

Instead, we should apply the method of Satyagraha hunger strike taught by Mahatma Gandhijee. It is the most suitable method to put up our demands. Here the protesters do not create problem for the other people. Instead only they are bound to suffer. So, it is the best method to stage our protests.
