The cat says that it does not eat meat and take bath in the river everyday and she is doing great penance to overcome her sins.

She says to the vulture that she has listened from the several birds at the bank of river about the knowledge of the vulture. She desires to become his disciple and get his blessings. She says that it is immoral to kill the innocent animals to eat whether God has granted lot of herbs and vegetables in the woodland. In this way the vulture considers her honest and allows to live with him.
