कक्षा VII में अंग्रेजी में मौखिक परीक्षा (Oral Test) होती है। अंकों की दृष्टि से इस मौखिक परीक्षा का अत्यन्त महत्व है। निम्नलिखित बिन्दुओं के आधार पर यह परीक्षा ली जाती है –
- वार्तालाप द्वारा अध्यापक महोदय आपसे छोटे-छोटे वाक्यों | में प्रश्न पूछेगे। इन प्रश्नों के उत्तर आपको शुद्ध अंग्रेजी में देने हैं। प्रश्न आपसे सम्बन्धित, आपके परिवार से सम्बन्धित, आपके विद्यालय से तथा आपके आसपास की उन सभी बातों से सम्बन्धित होंगे जिनके उत्तर आप आसानी से दे सकते हैं।
- विभिन्न शीर्षकों पर आपसे 3-4 वाक्य पूछे जायेंगे जैसे गाय, कुत्ता, ऊँट, स्कूल, गाँव आदि पर।
- आपकी पाठ्य-पुस्तक में अनेक Rhymes (कविताएँ) दी हुई हैं। मौखिक परीक्षा की दृष्टि से आपको कम से कम दो कविताएँ कंठस्थ कर लेनी चाहिए। परीक्षा में आपसे आपके द्वारा याद किसी भी कविता को सुनाने के लिए कहा जा सकता है।

1. It was a warm and sunny morning day
of September 1737. Amrita Devi, a Bishnoi woman was busy doing her household duties. Her three daughters namely-Ashu, Ratni and Bhagu were at home, helping her. The men were away working in the fields.
2. All of us must be careful about disposing waste. We should never throw it carelessly. We should always dump it into garbage bins. Some of the waste from the kitchen can be dumped into a pit in the garden and covered with soil. After a couple of months, this waste turns into rich manure. This manure can make the garden soil fertile.
3. Rathore joined the India Forest Service in 1960. as a park ranger. In 1969 he was sent to the Wildlife Institute of India, as part of the first batch of forest officers to be trained.
