कवि का यह मानना है कि सभी मनुष्यों को विशेष शक्तियाँ प्राप्त हैं जो उसे किसी भी मुश्किल का सामना करने के लिए मजबूत बनाती है। उसका ऐसा विश्वास है कि महान व्यक्ति ऐसी कठिन परिस्थितियों में अपनी छिपी हुई शक्ति को पहचान कर अपनी मुश्किलों का सामना करते हुए आगे बढ़ते हैं।
कविता का सार
कवि कहते हैं कि एक साँप अपना फन घायल होने पर फैलाता है, लपटें उत्तेजित होकर और भड़कती हैं, रेगिस्तान की हवा पूँजती है, शेर को कष्ट पहुँचाने पर उसका क्रोध बढ़ता है, और बादल अपना शक्ति प्रदर्शन अत्यधिक वर्षा के रूप में करते हैं जब बिजली बादलों का सीना छलनी करतीहै। ठीक उसी प्रकार जब मनुष्य की आत्मा उसे अंदर तक झकझोरती हैं तब उसे अपने अंदर छिपी शक्ति का एहसास होता है और वह अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ दे पाता है। कवि आगे कहते हैं कि नजर अथवा दृष्टि चाहे धीमी पड़े जाए, मित्रता में सफलता न मिले, प्रेम में धोखा मिले, भाग्य अनेक डरावनी मुश्किलें दिखाएं, चाहे रास्ता कितना भी अंधकारमय क्यों न हो, प्रकृति तुम्हें समाप्त करने हेतु कितनी ही क्रोधित क्यों न हो, तब भी स्वयं को ईश्वरीय और दैवीय मानते हुए, बिना इधर-उधर भटके, अपने लक्ष्य की ओर बढ़ते रहो। अपने लक्ष्य पर केंद्रित रह कर तुम अंततः उसे पा ही लोगे, चाहे तुम्हारे मार्ग में कितनी ही बाधाएँ आएँ। तुम्हारी आंतरिक आत्मिक शक्ति उन्हें तुम्हें सभी बाधाओं से लड़कर लक्ष्य प्राप्त करने में मदद करेगी।
