We notice that the house plan is not given in metric units. Also many measurements are missing.

(a) Length of the house is (15 + 5 +15) = 35 ft.

Utility area = 3 ft × 15 ft = 45 sq. ft.

Small bedroom : 15 ft x 12 ft,

Area = 180 sq. ft.

Garden : 3 ft × (15 + 5) ft = 3 ft × 20 ft,

Area = 60 sq. ft.

Parking : 3 ft × 15 ft, Area = 45 sq. ft.

Area of the hall = (20 × 12 + 5 × 5) sq. ft.

= 265 sq. ft.

(b) Area of the house = 35 ft × 30 ft

= 1050 sq. ft.
