With this idea, try constructing a rectangle that can be divided into three identical squares. Class 6

Solution:

Step 1: Draw a line segment AH of any length say 3 cm, using a ruler.

Step 2: Using a protractor, make an angle HAX = 90°.

Step 3: Using a ruler or compass, mark points B, C and D on ray AX such that AB = AH, BC = AH and CD = AH.

Step 4: Using a protractor, make an angle AHY = 90°.

Step 5: Using a ruler or compass, mark points G, F and E on ray HY such that HG = AH, GF = AH and FE = AH.

Step 6: Join B and G, C and F and D and E.

Then, rectangle ADEH has been divided into three identical squares ABGH, BCFG and CDEF (see figure). This fact can be verified by actually measuring the remaining sides and angles.
