If Floor A = - 12, Floor D = - 1 and Floor E = + 1 in the building shown on the right as a line Class 6

Question 1.

If Floor A = - 12, Floor D = - 1 and Floor E = + 1 in the building shown on the right as a line (see textbook), find the numbers of Floors B, C, F, G and H. Class 6

Solution:

Number of floor B is (-12) + (+3) = -9;

number of floor C is (-12) + (+6) = -6;

number of floor F is (-1) + (+3) = +2;

number of floor G is (+1) + (+5) = +6;

and number of floor H is (+6) + (+5) = +11.

Question 2.

Mark the following floors of the building shown on the right (see textbook), Class 6

(a) -7

(b) -4

(c) + 3

(d) - 10

Solution:

In the figure,

(a) -7 has been marked as P;

(b) -4 has been marked as Q;

(c) +3 has been marked as R; and

(d) -10 has been marked as S.
