Question 1.
Play the same game with the grids below. What answer did you get? Class 6

Solution:

In the first grid, circled numbers are -11, 4, -11 and 10.
Their sum = -11 + 4 - 11 + 10 = -8.
Each time sum will come as -8.
In the second grid, circled numbers are -7, -1, -10 and 4.
Their sum = -7-1-10 + 4 = -14.
Each time sum will come as -14.
Question 2.
What could be so special about these grids? Is the magic in the numbers or the way they are arranged or both? Can you make more such grids? Class 6
Solution:
There is no magic. Numbers have been arranged in a specific way. For example, in the first grid of Question 2, numbers in the diagonals squares have been arranged in such a way that sum of four numbers is -8.
7 + 1 - 5 - 11 = -8
and - 20 - 8 + 4 + 16 = - 8.
The same trick has been applied in other grids.
Yes, we can make more such grids.
Note : Do as directed.
