i. How many times did you get heads?

ii. How many times did you get tails?

iii. Calculate the experimental probability of getting heads.

iv. If you toss the coin once more, what is the probability of getting tails?

Solution:

i. The answer depends on the actual experiment.

Suppose heads came 12 times.

ii. Numbers of tails = 20 - 12 = 8

iii. P(Heads) = $\frac{\text { Number of heads }}{\text { Total number of tosses }}$

= $\frac{12}{20}=\frac{3}{5}$ = 0.6

iv. For a fair coin, theoretical probability of getting tails is = P(Tails) = $\frac{1}{2}$ = 0.5
