Activity 10.1 Let us explore
Aim: To show that sound is produced due to vibrations of objects.

Procedure:
- Take a cardboard box with one side open and a rubber band. Stretch the rubber band and wait till it stops vibrating.
- Change the tension in rubber band by stretching and loosening it and pluck it to hear any change in sound.
- As long as the rubber band is stretched and vibrating sound is produced. Sound stops when vibrations stop. produces sound
Conclusion: Sound is produced by vibrations of an object. When vibrations stop, sound also stops.
