Answer:

Let the initial velocity = v and final velocity when it stops = 0

Initial kinetic energy of the aircraft is

K = 1/2 mv2 = 1/2 × 15000 × v²

Final kinetic energy = 0

Change in kinetic energy = 0 - 1/2 × 15000 × v²

Work done on an object = change in its energy

Work done by the force is negative when displacement is in the opposite direction of the force.

W = F × s = 367500 × (-100)

367500 × (-100)= - 1/2 × 15000 × v² ; v = 70 m/s
