Answer:

The moving striker hits the white coin which then hits the black coin. The moving striker applies force in direction of displacement of the white coin. Thus striker does positive work on white coin and increases its energy. By Newton’s third law, white coin applies opposite force on striker and does negative work on the striker and decreases its energy.

Similarly white coin does positive work on black coin and increases its energy while black coin does negative work on the white coin and decreases its energy.
