Answer:
Condoms (male or female) can be used during sexual activity to reduce the spread of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Condoms act as a physical barrier that prevents direct contact between the mucous membranes of partners, thereby preventing the transfer of disease- causing organisms. They are effective against infections like HIV, gonorrhoea, herpes, syphilis and genital warts. Condoms also help prevent unwanted pregnancies.
