Think About It (Page 110)

Question 1.

Have you heard or read any other story that conveyed an important message? What values did it teach you? Class 6

Answer:

One story from Hindu religion that conveys an important message is the story of Lord Rama from the epic Ramayana.

In this story, Rama is a prince who is exiled from his kingdom due to a promise made by his father. Despite facing many challenges, including the abduction of his wife Sita by the demon king Ravana, Rama remains brave and determined. The story teaches us the values of duty (dharma), loyalty, and courage. Rama always does the right thing, even when it’s difficult, and he never gives up. This story inspires me to be strong and to always do the right thing, no matter how tough the situation may be.

Vedanta: Brahman, the supreme force of the universe, was permanently connected to humanity, atman and was manifested through the Hindu deities. (God and Goddess)

Yoga: A practice that combines physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation to improve health and connect the body, mind and breath.
