This beautiful painting shows the turning point of episode of Ramayana. On the right side of painting, there is kutiya. Ravana approaches Sita, hide his identity and present himself as wandering ascetic (bhikshu). He demands bhiksha. She crosses the Lakshmana Rekha drawn by her brother-in-law for her protection. Ravana abducts Sita. Ravana takes Sita in his flying chariot. It is known as Ravana’s Pushpaka Vimana. The bird Jatayu tries to rescue Sita. Ravana tries to kill Jatayu. Sita is calling for help. This painting shows the abduction of Sita by Ravana.
