  2. Variety of Food: They would see many spices, sauces, fruits, vegetables and packaged foods.
  3. Cooking Methods: The use of gas stoves and solar and induction cookers and electric plate would be surprising for them. They might have used to cook their food on clay stoves or open fires.
  4. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Modern kitchens are designed to be very clean and hygienic, with running water, proper waste disposal and exhaust fan. This level of cleanliness might be surprising for them compared to their time.
  5. Food Storage: The concept of storing food in a refrigerator to keep it fresh would be new to them. They would have relied on drying or salting food to preserve it.
  6. Average kitchen appliances are made up of different materials stainless steel, glass, plastics, aluminium and iron. In the Harappan time, these materials were not available.
