Question 1.

List the economic activities in your neighbourhood and label them appropriately as primary, secondary or tertiary. Draw arrows to show how they are connected to each other. In what ways are they dependent on each other? What would happen if one of the activities ceased to exist? Class 6

Answer:

Some activities in neighbourhood are:

  1. Primary: Farming (growing cotton)
  2. Secondary: Textile mill
  3. Tertiary: Cloth seller shop

In all these economic activities, all are earning money. Suppose farmers do not grow cotton, the functioning of textile mill and cloth shopkeeper become redundant. Textile mill will not make cloth, there will be no need of cloth shopkeepers and farmers. They are dependent on each other very closely.

If one of the activities ceased to exist, there will be no economic activities, no one will survive.
