Answer:
‘Unity in diversity’ means that even though India has many different cultures, languages, religions, and traditions, all these differences come together to form one strong nation. For example, in India, people celebrate various festivals like Diwali, Eid, and Christmas, but they all live together peacefully. This shows that despite our differences, we can share love, respect, and harmony.

What aspects of India’s diversity are the most striking? Class 6
Answer:
India’s diversity is striking in many ways!
Food: The same ingredients like staple grains, spices and vegetables (unity) can be used in a number of combinations (diversity) to prepare endless variety of dishes!
Textile and clothing: A unstitched piece of cloth is sari. There are so many ways to wearing the sari, as they vary from one region to another or from one community to another.
Festival: There is variety of festivals. Makar Sankranti, which marks the beginning of the harvest season in many parts of India on around January 14. On the same date, similar festival with different names is celebrated in most of the parts of India.
Literature: Indian literatures are extremely diverse. The original Sanskrit text is at least 2200 years old. Its stories have been adapted in almost every language. It is estimated that about 200 adaptations of panchatantra exist in more than 50 languages. This shows one collection of stories has become many.

The ways by which we make out unity:
- Every citizen of India world follow the right and duties as per Constitution.
- No one is above law, all activities are done within the pursuit of law.
- No discrimination based on caste, race, sex or place of birth.
- Respect for the national flag, national anthem and nation emblem.
- No discrimination based on religion, food, celebration of custom and festival, clothing and language.
- Independent media play a very important role in unity.
