Answer:

In my neighbourhood, I see several types of families:

Nuclear families: 10 households (parents and their children)

Joint families: 5 households (multiple generations living together)

Single-parent families: 3 households (one parent raising their children)

What types are more frequent? Why do you think this is so? Class 6

Answer:

Nuclear families are the most frequent type in my neighbourhood. I think this is because of modern lifestyles and selfishness or materialism. For better job opportunities, families often move away from their joint families to live in different cities or towns. This trend has made nuclear families more common.

Answer:

In class, we found similar results. Most students reported that nuclear families are the most common, followed by joint families. We discussed how cultural changes and urbanization influence family structures. Some students mentioned that in their cultures, joint families are still very important, which help the family to grow faster, while others noted the growing trend of nuclear families.
