Question 1.
When Kabir’s grandfather voluntarily teaches the neighbourhood kids for free, is that an economic activity or a non-economic activity? How is it different from your teachers teaching you at school? Discuss with your classmates. Class 6
Answer:
Kabir’s grandfather teaching kids for free is a non-economic activity because he is not getting paid for it. It’s different from my teachers because they teach us in school as their job, and they get paid for it. It is an economic activity. My teachers provide education as a profession and take salary while Kabir’s grandfather teaches children without money out of kindness.
Question 2.
What are some non-economic activities that are important to you and your family? Why are they valuable? Class 6
Answer:
Some non-economic activities that are important to my family are cooking dinner together, helping each other with homework, youth taking care of the grandparents, family members helping in the renovation of the house and cleaning house.
These activities are valuable because they strengthen our family bonds, contribute to the emotional, social bonding and create happy memories. They show love and support and help to overcome, challenging times which is really important for everyone’s happiness.
