One of its major achievements was the development of well-planned cities like Harappa and Mohenjo-daro.

These cities had wide streets, brick houses, and a sophisticated drainage system that helped keep the environment clean.

The people of this civilisation were also skilled in trade, as they exchanged goods like beads, pottery, and textiles with other regions. They created beautiful art, including pottery and figurines, which showed their creativity.

The Harappans had a strong understanding of water management, building reservoirs and wells to ensure a steady water supply.

In Mohenjo-daro, there was a famous Great Bath. It was built with water profing materials. The tank was surrounded by small rooms, one of which contained a well. There was a drain in one comer of the tank to empty it when needed and refil with fresh water.

They also had a system of weights and measures, which helped in trade and commerce.
