Below are some boxes with four numbers in each box. Within each box try to say how each number Class 6

Question 1.

Below are some boxes with four numbers in each box. Within each box try to say how each number is special compared to the rest. Share with your classmates and find out who else gave the same reasons as you did. Did anyone give different reasons that may not have occurred to you? Class 6

Solution:

Do as directed. One for each box is done here for illustration.

In the first box, 5 is special, because it is first multiple of 5. 7 is special, because it makes a pair of twin primes with 5. 12 is special, because it is the sum of 5 and 7. 35 is special as it is the product of 5 and 7.

In the second box, 3 is special, because it is first odd prime number. 8 is special, because it is the 3rd power of 2, 11 is special, because it is the sum of 3 and 8 and 24 is special, because it is the product of 3 and 8.

Question 2.

Fill the grid with prime numbers only so that the product of each row is the number to the right of the row and the product of each column is the number below the column. Class 6
