Question 2.

How will the two circles turn out for a set of lengths that do not satisfy the triangle inequality? Find 3 examples of sets of lengths for which the circles: Class 7

(a) touch each other at a point,

Solution:

The two circles will touch each other.

For example, 2 cm, 2 cm, 4 cm; 5 cm, 5 cm, 10 cm and 6 cm, 6 cm, 12 cm.

(b) do not intersect.
