Solution:

Do as directed. For example, 9 and 27, 12 and 84, 15 and 120 and so on.

In these cases, one number is a multiple of the other number.

Question 2.

For number pairs satisfying this property (i.e., one of the numbers is the HCF), Class 7

(a) if m is a number, what could be the other number?

(b) if 7k is a number, what could be the other number?

Solution:

(a) It can be 2m, 3m, 4m, ... km, etc.

(b) It could be 2 × 7k = 14k, 3 × 7k = 21k, 4 × 7k = 28k, n × 7k = 7nk etc
