What relationship do you observe among 20%, 5% and 25% of a value?

It appears that (20% of y) + (5% of y) = 25% of y. We can verify that this property always holds:

([latex]\frac{20}{100}[/latex] × y) + ([latex]\frac{5}{100}[/latex] × y) = ([latex]\frac{25}{100}[/latex] × y) . Class 8

Solution:

40% of 100 = 40; 40% of 200 = 80;

40% of 50 = 20; 40% of 80 = 32;

40% of 10 = 4; 40% of 35 = 14 and

40% of 287 = 114[latex]\frac{4}{5}[/latex].
