Name the rays shown in the figure.2.5. Is T the starting point of each of these rays? Class 6

Question 1.

Name the rays shown in the figure.2.5. Is T the starting point of each of these rays? Class 6

Solution:

Rays are [latex]\overrightarrow{\mathrm{TA}}, \overrightarrow{\mathrm{TN}}[/latex] and [latex]\overrightarrow{\mathrm{TB}}[/latex].

T is the starting point of all these three rays.

However, there is one more ray, namely [latex]\overrightarrow{\mathrm{NB}}[/latex] whose starting point is not T. It is N.

Question 2.

Draw a rough figure and write labels appropriately to illustrate each of the following: Class 6

(a) [latex]\overleftrightarrow{\mathrm{OP}}[/latex] and [latex]\overleftrightarrow{\mathrm{OQ}}[/latex] meet at O.

(b) [latex]\overleftrightarrow{\mathrm{XY}}[/latex] and [latex]\overleftrightarrow{\mathrm{PQ}}[/latex] intersect at point M.

(c) Line l contains points E and F but not point D.

(d) Point P lies on AB.
