Take a three digit number say 465. Form largest number A with these 3-digits and the smallest number B with these 3- digits. Find C = A — B. Repeat the process of finding largest number A, smallest number B with the digits of above number C and then find the new C = A — B again. Finally, what number starts repeating?
Solution:
A = 654, B = 456. So, C 654 - 456 = 198,
New, A = 981, B = 189. So, C = 981 - 189 = 792.
New, A = 972, B = 279. So, C = 972 - 279 = 693.
New, A = 963, B = 369. So, C = 963 - 369 = 594.
New, A = 954, B = 459. So, C = 954 - 459 = 495.
Thus, number 495 shall starts repeating.
Question 3.
I am a 5-digit palindrome. Also, I am an odd number and my tens digit is double of the unit digit. If my hundred digit is '0', then what can I be?
Solution:
In this condition, unit digit can be either 1 or 3. If unit digit is 1, then the required palindrome will be 12021. If the unit digit is 3, then the required palindrome will be 36063.

Find the sum of the largest and smallest 5-digit palindromes made up 2- digits.
Solution:
Largest palindrome = 99899 and
Smallest palindrome = 10001
Their sum = 109900
