While it is true that the Earth has experienced natural climate changes throughout its history, such as ice ages and warm periods, but today's global warming is happening much faster and is mostly caused by human activities like deforestation, burning fossil fuels etc. which increases the greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO₂) and methane (CH₄) in the atmosphere. Past changes took thousands of years; now it's happening in just decades, harming nature and people.
