When our body encounters a pathogen for the first time, the immune response is generally Class 8

When our body encounters a pathogen for the first time, the immune response is generally low but on exposure to the same pathogen again, the immune response by the body is much more compared to the first exposure. Why is it so? Class 8

Answer:

The first time a pathogen enters the body, the immune system takes time to recognise and fight it. But during this process, it also creates memory cells. When the same pathogen attacks again, these memory cells quickly respond and fight it faster and stronger.
