Yes, I have seen flood in TV. Floods occur in areas like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala and Assam mainly due to heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. In Andhra Pradesh flood occurs due to cyclones from the Bay of Bengal bringing heavy rainfall. The land can't absorb all the water, causing rivers and lakes to overflow. In the Himalayan regions, melting glaciers can also lead to floods when glacial lakes overflow.
