Solution:

The required weight has to measure both the bags containing 75 kg and 69 kg of fertiliser respectively. So, the weight must be an exact divisor of the capacities of both the bags.- Moreover this capacity should be maximum. Thus maximum weight will be the HCF of 75 and 69.

We have,

∴ 69 = 3 × 23 and 75 = 3 × 5 × 5.

Thus, HCF of 69 and 75 = 3.

∴ Maximum value of weight = 3 kg.
