1. Insoluble : Substances that do not dissolve in a given liquid.

2. Soluble : Substances that dissolves in a given liquid. 1

3. Hard : Materials which are difficult to compress are called hard.

4. Soft: Materials which can be compressed or scratched easily are called soft.
