  1. Handpicking: Used to separate slightly larger sized impurities like pieces of dirt, stone from wheat, rice, etc.
  2. Decantation: When the water (along with dust) is removed.
  3. Sedimentation: When the heavier component in a.mixture settles down after water is added to it.
