Find the area of ∆XDC. Class 8

Solution:

Area = [latex]\frac{1}{2}[/latex]4 × 5

= 10 sq. units.


Question 2.

Find the areas of the following triangles: Class 8

Solution:

Area of ∆ ABC = [latex]\frac{1}{2}[/latex] BC × AE

=[latex]\frac{1}{2}[/latex] × 4 × 3

= 6 sq. cm.

Area of ∆DEF =[latex]\frac{1}{2}[/latex]EF × DN

= [latex]\frac{1}{2}[/latex] × 5 × 3.2

= 8 sq. cm.

Area of ∆ANT = [latex]\frac{1}{2}[/latex] AT × AN

= [latex]\frac{1}{2}[/latex] × 3 × 4 = 6sq. cm.
